opening its portal like a womb 

to take these starseeds 

who dreamed it here

to deliver us always 

to what these two hearts become

when they can feel the beating

of each other

and know they have found home

these tracks in the snow

that we've made

will drift and melt away

from the physical world

when everything seen

is what must change

but never the way 

the ground felt 

beneath our feet

or the burning we carried

in our hearts

nor the stars that lit

our way

or what the journey

has meant

so that the destination

of fires we have sought

in each other

remains eternal

in the journey

to finding found

and we will find again

no matter what foot prints

remain

in soft earth and in sand

or on shores where we met

the ebb and flow

to swim this galaxy

of ancestral homes

all that was needed for that

as an angel's heart

than the weight 

of these scars

you are ethereal and beauty

the sweet song in the wind

and the honey 

that drips from the sun

and I am only a mortal

clawing and scratching

to make each day

but in my dreams 

I have dreamed

to be more than this

like the cripples who dream

they will dance

I am sorry my legs 

were not strong 

for holding me steady

and that I came thinking

that I could just fly

by wishing my wings into ready

and then it would mean

nothing at all

that I could only crawl

in cosmic attraction

it makes you believe
